The 9/11 Controversies and Coincidences are terms to classify dozens of unanswered questions surrounding the September 11th attacks on America.
These answered questions have led many to form 9/11 Conspiracy Theories to explain the tragic event. Since the words conspiracy theory have gained a negative connotation, many individuals in the 9/11 Truth Movement do not say they believe in the “9/11 Conspiracy Theories.” They explain their belief as acknowledging the controversies surrounding 9/11 and concluding that the U.S. was at least negligent for some aspect of the tragedy.
9/11 Controversies is a term coined by Nick Shelton in The American Truth
in the nonfiction portion of the book entitled “The Facts.” The term 9/11 coincidences have appeared in many documentaries and publications featuring 9/11 Truth issues.
An example of a "9/11 Controversy" is the fact that the WTC 7 building collapsed on 5:20 p.m. on September 11, 2001 even though it was never hit by any plane. A “concidence” of the "WTC 7 controversy" is that WTC 7 just so happened to hold office space for the CIA, FBI, SEC, and the Secret Service.
